HAPPY NEW YEAR! A Decade of Scientific Discoveries

Welcome back, readers! Merry New Year's Eve! I can't believe a whole year (and decade) has passed by already! So much has gone by in the last ten years, and now it's already 2020.

As we start to get into the spirit and dance at our awesome parties, we also have a chance to bless ourselves with goals for the upcoming year. Usually, this includes personal goals as well as goals for teams/families/friends.

I haven't come up with many resolutions just yet, but I certainly do have some blog-related resolutions:

  • Post more often
  • Spark some more creativity with Animals in New Perspectives Posts (coming soon)
  • More Followers (You all can pitch in on this one!)

We've certainly accomplished a lot in the year already, but what exactly? What awesome, amazing scientific discoveries have we made in the past decade that we can stamp on a list and say "Wow!"?

I'm letting everyone decide! For this post, I was initially going to give everyone the list and a little explanation for each one, but since it's almost New Year's I thought I'd change it up a bit.

Here's how to take part in this interactive post:

1) Think of your favorite scientific discovery that happened between the years 2010-2020. January 1st, 2010 is included but December 31st, 2009 isn't.

2) Scroll to the end of this post to "Share Your Reactions And Comments". Do you see yours already posted? If so, head back to Step 1.

3) If not, submit a comment! Choose your name (you can do your Google Account, a made-up name and/or a URL of your website, or Anonymous user), and type up your comment. Once finished, leave a space and the date it was discovered with your name (the name is optional), respectively.

4) You're done: In the next post, I will post the list everyone has made!

Get on typing, and best wishes for a Happy New Year!
