There are some, however, who don't enjoy the cold or the holidays that accompany it. It's not just the Grinch who hates Christmas, many animals go indoors or even sleep in for the holidays!
Today I'm sharing with you the top 3 hibernating animals:
🎄 Let's jump right in! 🎄
1) Not-So-Busy-Bees
Have you ever realized during the winter you can't hear the classic buzz in your ear, like in the summer when you swat at it only to realize it's a bee? That's because bees go in for the winter, missing Christmas and New Year. They stock in honey for the winter, huddling around the queen bee and taking turns being in the outer part of the circle.
2) Sleepy, Stuffy, Bears
This one's a classic- you switch on a kids' television show only to notice the bears sleeping are some part of the animal show's Christmas special. Bears go through torpor, a deep sleep time condition. Once they reach that hibernating peak, they don't eat, drink, or even use the bathroom. And though they don't hibernate because it's cold or Christmas, they hibernate for a good reason- the lack of food during these harsh months.
3) Batty Bats

3) Batty Bats
Bats may go into hibernation for half a year if necessary. But why do these animals hibernate? Bats like brown bats hibernate because of their need for insects in the warmer times. Their typical hanging over in a cave, upside down and ready for a nice nap, is how some even hibernate!
That's it for this post! How many Christmas related things did you find? Comment down below, I'll reveal the answer soon!
Until next time, Merry Christmas!
